Racism in sport, leisure and society was on the agenda when Kevin Hylton delivered his inaugural lecture as Professor of Equality and Diversity in Sport, Leisure and Education at Leeds Metropolitan University.

The event entitled - 'What is critical race theory and what is it doing in a nice field like sport and leisure?' - took place at Headingley Campus on Wednesday 6 November from 5.30pm-7.30pm in The Great Hall in the James Graham building.

Professor Hylton is the first black professor at Leeds Metropolitan University's Carnegie Faculty in more than 75 years and is Chair of the Leeds Met Race Equality and Diversity Forum.
