The Covert Human a Intelligence Source (Criminal Conduct) Act 2021: Making Lawful Criminal Conduct

In April 2021 the UK government introduced the Covert Human Intelligence (Criminal Conduct) Act 2021 that allows in certain circumstances informant to commit criminal offences. The article examines the provisions in the Act assessing if they are compatible with the European Convention on Human Rights and concerns as to the level of criminal conduct informanants will be allowed to particpate in.
